Born on February 15, 1982, in Thiruvalla, Kerala, India, her birth name is Jasmine Mary Joseph. She adopted the screen name Meera Jasmine upon entering the film industry.

Meera made her acting debut in the Malayalam film “Soothradharan” in 2001, directed by Lohithadas. However, it was her breakthrough role in the critically acclaimed film “Padam Onnu: Oru Vilapam” (2003) that garnered widespread recognition and established her as a promising talent in the industry.
