California High-School Spanish Instructor, Dulce Flores, has been arrested on charges of having sexual intercourse with a student.
According to a communiqué by Stanislaus County Sheriff’s office, the teacher was taken into custody on Tuesday on charges of having engaged in sexual intercourse with a 17-year-old male student who was studying at a California school in 2023.

Dulce Flores, 33, was employed in a school since 2016 as a Spanish Instructor.
The teacher was arrested by the Police after a complaint from a school administrator on the inappropriate relationship and an investigation followed.
Dulce Flores was taken into custody from her home and has been charged with sexual intercourse with a student.
She is currently interning at the Stanislaus County Jail.
Dulce Flores completed her graduation with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and literature in 2014. Her LinkedIn profile also reveals that she also worked as a beauty consultant for a makeup company.
Dulce Flores is currently lodged in Stanislaus County Jail on a $20,000 bail.
According to a release by Riverbank Unified School District, Dulce Flores has been asked to go on leave while the charges against her are being investigated.
To minimize any hiccup in their educational curriculum for the remaining part of the academic year, the school stated that it is working with the authorities and has also conversed with the families of the students who were enrolled in Dulce Flores’ classes.
Superintendent Constantino Aguilar stated,
“This is a very regrettable situation for our district. The district will also look to see what options it may have available to independently address this matter while we continue to work with law enforcement.”
This is the second such instance when a teacher was involved in an inappropriate relationship with a student. In December 2023, a Riverbank High teacher, Logan Nabors, 23, who served as a girl’s basketball coach, was found to be involved in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student from 2017 to 2018.
In another instance, a 35-year-old arts and language teacher, Molly Colleen Spears, at Barbers Hill School in Mont Belvieu was found to be involved in an inappropriate relationship with a male student and placed under arrest.
