Pack said in an email to media outlet AL.com.
“Following an investigation, the driver, Colin Stough, was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Underage Consumption of Alcohol, and Failure to Exercise Due Care,”
Before his arrest, Stough was taken to a hospital, but it is not clear if he was physically injured in the car crash. Stough, a Mississippi native, was subsequently released on bail but it is not clear what the bail amount was.
Stogh was a participant of the 21st season of American Idol in 2023. The first and the runner-up was Victor Iam Tongi and Megan Danielle respectively while Stough had finished third in the show.
Stough had posted a video on his Instagram handle on the day of the crash in which he could be seen singing one of his songs while strolling in a forest. He had captioned his video,
“I’m not perfect and will never claim to be. But I will admit when I’m wrong, and that’s a fact. Never let anyone hold you down for not being a certain way.”
However, Stough made no mention of being involved in a crash or his subsequent arrest in his post. His website detailed his upcoming shows in New York, Vermont, and Rhode Island.
