A self-styled Christian preacher and faith healer, Bajinder Singh, has been charged with sexual harassment, stalking, and intimidation.
These charges have been made by a 22-year-old woman whose name has not been revealed as per Supreme Court guidelines for protecting the identity of the victim.
In her complaint to the police, the victim stated that the preacher had been harassing her since she became acquainted with him at the age of 17. Despite being a married man, Bajinder Singh continued to make inappropriate advances and also threatened her.
Bajinder Singh, who runs the Church of Glory and Wisdom, has been charged with making inappropriate advances and physical contact after a complaint was filed by the 22-year-old woman.

As per the FIR, the victim attended Bajinder’s congregation from December 2017 with her parents, who had been part of the congregation earlier. The woman became a member of the ‘worship team’ and became closely acquainted with Bajinder Singh. According to the victim,
“He took my phone number and started talking about unwanted things and sending messages. I started fearing him and was wary of informing my parents. In 2022, he started making me sit in his cabin on Sundays. When I would be alone, he would forcibly hug me and touch me in a dirty way.”
The victim also alleged that Bajinder Singh pressured her to marry him despite already being married. She recounted how the preacher followed her in his car while she was studying in college. The victim further alleged that Bajinder Singh threatened her, saying that if she did not give in to his demands, he would get her father and brother killed. These threats made her a nervous wreck, leading to panic attacks. She also revealed the names of three hospitals where she underwent treatment for her condition.
The victim stated that she got married to Raja Singh, who was also a Christian preacher. However, Bajinder Singh continued to harass the couple and threatened both of them.
She further revealed that she started experiencing panic attacks after becoming pregnant and had to undergo treatment in Madhya Pradesh. When she returned to her parents’ home, Bajinder Singh again started to harass and threaten her. The victim also claimed that Bajinder Singh would often boast that the police would not act against him when he learned that she was going to complain.
Along with Bajinder Singh, the victim has named eight more individuals who have been threatening her.
