To remove adult content from your Instagram account and reduce exposure to such content, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Instagram app on your mobile device and log in to your account if you haven’t already.
  2. Tap on your profile icon, located in the bottom right corner of the screen, to access your profile page.
  3. Tap on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner to open the menu.
  4. From the menu, scroll down and tap on “Settings.”
  5. In the “Settings” menu, tap on “Account.”
  6. Under the “Account” section, tap on “Sensitive Content Control.”
  7. You will see a toggle switch labeled “Hide Sensitive Content.” Enable this switch to limit the visibility of potentially sensitive or adult content in your Instagram feed.
  8. Instagram’s algorithms will attempt to filter out sensitive content, but it may not catch everything. If you come across any explicit or adult content that violates Instagram’s community guidelines, you can report it. Tap on the three dots (…) located in the top right corner of the post and select “Report” to report the content to Instagram for review.
  9. Additionally, you can also take control over the accounts you follow to ensure they do not post adult content. Be selective about the accounts you follow and unfollow or block accounts that frequently share explicit or inappropriate content.

Remember that Instagram relies on a combination of automated systems and user reports to identify and remove inappropriate content. By following these steps and reporting any violations, you contribute to creating a safer and more positive environment on the platform.
